Latest News and Updates: September 4, 2000 @ 4:11pm: Well, not really a content update today, but just a reminder! The "new" Dragonball episodes start today at 5:00. I'll watch the first one today and hopefully will be back to report shortly. (By the way--you may wanna check out the TBMAT! Its right up here on the main page. ~Son Tew August,21 2000@ 2:38pm: Welcome to the brand spankin' new DBN&R, formerly known as Saiyan Planet! However, its not just the name of the site thats changed, its everything, 'sides the staff of course! ;) DBN&R is a Dragonball fan site that focuses more on giving you the latest news than on multimedia and the such. We also will be reviewing much of the new Dragonball products that come out on the market. The reason we have switched focuses is because we realize that the internet does not need another all-around Dragonball site. After all, with the Big 3 of Planet Namek, Ginga Giri Giri!!!, and Daizenshuu EX around, there's not much else you need, that's why we try and focus on more neglected fields. Here, you can find reviews of Dragonball products so you know what's good, and what's not. News Ticker: Weekly Headline: August 21, 2000: The Viz Censorship Issue Well, as you've no doubt already heard, Viz has unfortunately begun to censor the Dragonball and Dragonball Z mangas. This comes as a huge blow to the Dragonball community considering this was out only way of getting truly uncensored Dragonball products from Japan. Fortunately, violence won't be the main issue. The censoring will mainly affect Dragonball, and its dirty jokes. So luckily, Dragonball Z will be pretty much untouched. This still does suck though as much of the humor from Dragonball will be lost. Here's the official word from Viz I received via e-mail today from Jason Thompson: "Unfortunately yes, at this time, Dragon Ball is going to be censored. You can read more about it in the letters page of "Dragon Ball Part 3 #3". Dragon Ball Z won't be changed as much -- it's not violence that people are 'concerned' about, it's the nudity and dirty jokes in Dragon Ball. :( Anyway, there are many other people who are just as unhappy about this as you are.
