Dragonball Z in a Nutshell: The most popular of the three installments, Dragonball Z was quite a series. It focused on Goku's adventures as an adult and was a much more violent series than Dragonball with a teenage male target audience.
It starts with the appearance of Raditz and much of Goku's past is then explained. In this series we are introduced to many things: The Saiya-jin, the Namekians, the levels and transformations known as "Super Saiya-jin", the Kaios, and some of the baddest villians of all time. This was truly a great series and it ran for quite a long time and would grow to become popular world-wide.
Dragonball ended 10 years after the Z warriors final fight with Buu, and Goku leaves to train Ubuu. This was Toriyama-san's final series and no mangas were produced after this; however, an anime was still produced with the Dragonball lisence called Dragonball GT.
